PROJECT ASHAKIRAN - SOLID MANAGEMENT WASTE DRIVE IN SINGAPERUMAL KOIL

The project adopts Singaperumal Koil Panchayat to create a model of effective solid waste management for the recovery of recyclable materials especially to reduce plastic pollution through effective segregation at source, daily collection and active engagement with the residents.

The project launch was successfully conducted in Chengalpattu at Singaperumal Koil Government Higher Secondary School, with attendance of 690 students, Additional Collector, Panchayat President, ward members and Renault Nissan Tech Senior management and employees.

The event was inaugurated by Ms. Anamika Ramesh (IAS- DRDA) Chengalpattu District Additional collector, Smt. Vijayalakshmi, Panchayat President and Ms. Eva James, Vice President - Renault Nissan Tech.

    Project Ashakiran Awareness Rally

    Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre Hosts Awareness Day
    for Project Ashakiran to Combat Climate Change.
     
    Chengalpattu, 20th September 2024 – Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre
    India (RNTBCI) continues its commitment to addressing climate change through
    its CSR initiative, Project Ashakiran. In a significant step toward environmental conservation,
    the company organized an important Awareness Program today in
    Singaperumal Koil Panchayat, focusing on effective solid dry waste management
    practices, including collection, segregation, and recycling.
    The event was attended by a diverse group of 350 participants,
    including members from the Sanitation Board, Renault Nissan Volunteers,
    SIRD (State Institute of Rural Development), Singaperumal
    Koil Village Panchayat, Self-Help Group (SHG) women
    , and sanitary workers.
    The gathering aimed to foster greater understanding of solid waste management strategies to create a cleaner, greener future.
